by admin on June 3, 2010

I’m debating wheater or not i should enter the military force.
I’m just confused on which route i should choose.

I heared the air force doesn’t have much dirt (faults) like the other fields however i would like some suggestions & information upon the air force or other areas.

I’m looking for great benefits insurance, pay, housing, however
no deploying, not too much traveling & pay 4 my college, go to college first. which college would be best for my future?

I just want something that will set me for life.

I heared you could be a Secretary in the air force & get great benefits?
could you share the positions in the air force?

please lean som help. i’m really confused.
thanks
I checked out coast gruad already & i’m not really intrersted.
I’m sort of interested in the medical field of it, any suggestions or infomation?

if you are scared of the middle east…..go coast guard.

no offense to the coasties, my step father flew HH-65′s.

but if you want to stay in continental US as much as possible go coast guard.

as far as benefits, we are all entitled to the same DoD benfits.

bonuses? army has the most bonuses (sign-on). marines….we have HUGE re-enlistment bonuses, my mos is 65,000 lump sum to re-up as a Sgt.

as far as who has faults…….they all have their ups and downs.

Hmm… you kinda sound like your just looking for a hand out, but w/e. Each military branch offers many non-combat jobs, which one you get would depend upon your ASVAB score, or if you go to college, your major. As for a secretary yes, there are secretaries in the military who are classified as military, but there are plenty of civilian jobs that are classified as military jobs also. Also, if you want money for college, you best bet is to go through an ROTC program during college, they will give you a scholarship and the day you graduate you will become a commissioned officer in which ever branch you choose. All branches have a medical fields btw, but I think the Navy and Air Force are the best choices for non combat medical careers.

P.S. Keep in mind, if you are joining for the wrong reasons then you should rethink your choice…

people who ask these questions really need to go talk to all the recruiters

Hi,

I am in the same thought process you are.

But I am 33yrs old and looking for a new start, I am currently attending college in Orange County, Calfornia for an AS degree in Information Technology as well as to become Microsoft Certified.
I have to pay my own tuition and I don’t want to continue to do it that way and I thought it would be best to maybe join the ANG for the school assistance and of course the enlistment offer they have.

At first I had thought about the National Guard but I hear from lots of people saying that if your looking for more education and not to be thrown into the middle of the war that the ANG would be a better fit but of course who knows what is really going to happen once I am in it.
I am not in the best of shape and just not looking forward to 8 1/2 weeks of BMT. I have not met with a recruiter yet but I want to set something up and take the ASVAB test see where I place in the system and if I don’t like where I end up I won’t join.

I know I am going to be Government property once I do join, so I want to make sure I am getting the job I want and that I am going to atleast have a say in before I sign my life away for the next six years.

I don’t know what to do, I have so many questions to ask the recruiters
I might just be the oldest ones there in BMT.

Please let me know if you get any valuable info that you could pass on to me.

Thanks,

Anthony

go to college and dont waste every one else tax money for a hand out , and if you are scared of going to war why in the hell would you join the military, and you dont want to travel, what do you want to sit at home and let some one else pay for your education and give you benefits while there are actually people fighting for this country do everyone a favor and dont join the military and go be a secretary somewhere else
